Volleyball Team Clinches District Title
The Lady Crusaders Volleyball team defeated district rival Regents on Tuesday night, October 20, at Regents High School to clinch the TAPPS 4A District 3 title, with one district game remaining in the regular season. It is the first district title for the St. Michael's Crusaders under four-year Head Coach Sarah Silvernail.
In the first game of the match, St. Michael's won 25-22. Regents won the second game 25-23 to even up the match at one. The Lady Crusaders dominated the third and fourth games of the match 25-14 and 25-15 to win. Adri Sotelo led the team with three aces and 39 assists. Tori Pylypec had twelve kills and 13 digs, while Moorea Wood contributed with 11 kills.
The Lady Crusaders were scheduled to travel to St. Dominic Savio on October 22 to wrap up the regular season and in hopes of finishing the season undefeated in district play. Congratulations Lady Crusaders!
