SMCA Cross Country Girls WIN State!

The St. Michael's Catholic Academy Cross Country Girls team finished 1st overall at the TAPPS 4A Cross Country State Championships on Saturday, October 31st in Waco, Texas. The Girls team won by one point to take home the TAPPS 4A State Championship. Danielle Escutia finished ninth overall for the Crusaders. Channing Frantz, Mary Hodapp, Maria Nowlin and Claire Glenn rounded out the top five for the Girls Cross Country team. Claire Glenn passed a girl right at the finish line to give the girls the State Title. The Cross Country Girls team had a great season under first year and St. Michael's alumnus Head Coach Augie Alcala. The Cross Country Girls team concludes the season with a District and State title. Congratulations on bringing home another State banner to Crusader Nation.
