Women's Soccer Wins Both Games in Blue Bell Tournament
The Women's Soccer team competed in the Brenham-Blue Bell Tournament on Friday, January 8, in Brenham, Texas. The Brenham-Blue Bell Tournament was slated for Friday and Saturday, but was cancelled on Saturday due to weather conditions.
Before the bad weather, the Lady Crusaders were able to play two games on Friday. In their first game, the Lady Crusaders defeated Lamar Consolidated High School 4-0. Elyse Andrews, Madison Fontenot, Hannah Morgan, and Jennifer Thomson scored goals to give the Lady Crusaders the 4-0 victory, while GK Susi Arguello had a shut-out. In their second game, the Lady Crusaders defeated Manor High School 3-0. Madison Fontenot scored two goals, third goal of the day, and Hannah Morgan scored one goal, her second goal of the tournament. Susi Arguello had her second shut-out of the day.

The Lady Crusaders are now 6-3 on the season, 1-0 in District play and will have their next District game on Tuesday, January 19, at Waco Reicher High School at 5:00 pm.
