Ethiopian Children Receive Portraits from SMCA Art Students

Smiling, happy Ethiopian children hold beautifully drawn portraits of themselves created by art students of Ms. Kami Land using Prismacolor pencils.  The portraits are part of The Memory Project created more than a decade ago. Each of our students reached into his or her heart and across the globe through this artistic endeavor—once again—to connect with a child living at an orphanage. The Memory Project made a collective donation of $3,550 to help support education for the children as a result of participation fees paid by numerous American schools.
