Girls Lacrosse Headed to State, Seven Players Receive Awards

Many congratulations to our still undefeated Girls Varsity Lacrosse team! In the District Playoffs on April 25, the team trounced Cedar Park by a score of 16-11 and is now headed to the state championships in Coppell, TX, May 7-8. A total of seven girls on the team received All-State and All-District awards from the District Varsity Division, which selects 12 players who represent the “best of the best.” The 12 players are comprised of three attack players, five midfield players, three defense players, and one goalie. The St. Michael’s girls selected for All-State awards are Adri Sotelo (#12), Midfield; Madison Fontenot (#2), Defense; and Melissa Ross (#24), Goalie. Team members selected for All-District awards are Gabi Pulsifer (#4), Hannah Morgan (#15), Lizzie Rogers (#21), and Jeena Turner (#10). St. Michael’s Lacrosse, undefeated with two shut-out games in the regular season under Head Coach Caitlin Fegley, competes in the Texas Girls High School Lacrosse League, Central Division 1.
