International Student Support

St. Michael’s offers a safe environment and nurturing program to help our international students succeed. We understand that students will experience some adjustments, because they are far from their homes and, in many cases, communicating in a less familiar language. We designed our program to help our international students adjust to living in a new country, succeed academically, and make the most out of the experience.

Mentoring
All international students meet once a week with our International Coordinator, Carlon Haas. Mr. Haas monitors their progress both socially and academically. Even though some students may have lived in the US for some time, it is important for us to keep track of each of our students, because the adjustment process is different for everyone. For those having trouble adjusting, our International Coordinator helps our students find opportunities for socializing and adjusting to life in Austin and at St. Michael’s.
