International Admission

About international admission

St. Michael’s Catholic Academy realizes that international students bring diversity to our student body. Our students have come from China, Korea, Mexico, Germany, France, Spain, Vietnam, Peru, Singapore, Greenland, and many other countries.

St. Michael’s provides a safe and nurturing atmosphere that allows these students to flourish. We cultivate a strong relationship between our students, faculty, and staff—giving our students the tools they need to succeed in a new school in a new country. We also develop their academic and spiritual growth. We offer support services for our foreign students through our international program and its coordinator, Carlon Haas.

St. Michael’s Catholic Academy is a Student Exchange and Visitor program (SEVP) approved school. We are authorized to issue the I-20 forms to our international students so that they may obtain their F-1 student visa.

International Student Support

St. Michael’s offers a safe environment and nurturing program to help our international students succeed. We understand that students will experience some adjustments, because they are far from their homes and, in many cases, communicating in a less familiar language. We designed our program to help our international students adjust to living in a new country, succeed academically, and make the most out of the experience.

All international students meet once a week with our International Coordinator, Carlon Haas. Mr. Haas monitors their progress both socially and academically. Even though some students may have lived in the US for some time, it is important for us to keep track of each of our students, because the adjustment process is different for everyone. For those having trouble adjusting, our International Coordinator helps our students find opportunities for socializing and adjusting to life in Austin and at St. Michael’s.

Please contact Carlon Haas with any International Admissions questions.
