Late Start/Distance Learning Day

What: Our late start days will still be once per quarter (Friday, September 17, Friday, November 12, Friday, February 4, and Friday, April 8) Classes will still begin at 10 am during which teachers will be on campus for in-person professional development and teaching virtually from campus. Students will be virtual and attendance will be recorded. We will have shortened classes A-G with no flex.

Why:  On “late start” days, we will be using new technology applications, (or practicing ones we used last year) that will keep faculty and students proficient and responsive to a variety of digital literacies.  In addition to pedagogical benefits, virtual late start allows students more rest and helps those parents with transportation issues on “late start” days.
