Junior Class Students Engage with Austin's Homeless in Annual 'Street Retreat'

Students apply the concepts of solidarity and building a culture of encounter as they participate in a Mobile Loaves & Fishes-designed 'Street Retreat'. This overnight retreat challenges students to see Christ in their neighbors who live on the streets of Austin, as well as to build community among their peers as they traverse the parks and streets of downtown Austin, guided by a representative of Mobile Loaves and Fishes. The Street Retreat culminated today at Community First Village where students shared a game of bingo with residents.
