Renowned Filmmakers Address Film Class Students

The annual tradition of the Austin Revolution Film Festival filmmakers' visit to St. Michael's happened this week. ARFF, the festival I founded and run, is one of the most prominent film festivals in the world and currently the top reviewed film festival on Film Freeway.

Every year, filmmakers visit students in the film department so that they may experience firsthand the professional side of filmmaking. Following the visits, the students spend the Friday of the festival screening films and taking in panels, all rounding out the unique learning experience found at the SMCA film department. A terrific article from the Chronicle about this "blue collar" niche film festival is included here.
