SMCA Swim Takes 3rd at District Meet

On Friday, January 10, the Men's and Women's Swim Teams competed in their district swim meet at the Texas School for the Deaf. The Men and Women finished third overall in the meet, 
For the Lady Crusaders, the relay team of Mary Claire Fuselier, Gabrielle Biss, Regan Sims and Lucy Fuselier placed third in won the 200yd medley relay and the 200yd freestyle relay. In the girls 50yd freestyle event, the Lady Crusaders placed four swimmers in the top 7th, Lucy Fuselier (2nd), Bliss (3rd) Sydney Osgood (5th), and Melina Ustinov (7th). In the 100yd breaststroke, Bliss finished second with Lucy Fuselier and E.Fuselier taking third and fourth. In the 100yd freestyle, E.Fuselier placed third and Ustinov placed seven. Regan Sims placed third in the 100yd butterfly. 

For the Crusaders, Luke Logan placed third in the 50yd freestyle and fourth in the 100yd breaststroke. 

Crusaders will compete at TAPPS Division II Central Regionals on Wednesday, January 22, at Bill Walker Pools in San Antonio.
