SMCA Basketball Notches District Wins against Brentwood (By Kevin Steen, Associate Athletic Director & Head Trainer)

On Tuesday, January 28, the Men's and Women's Basketball teams traveled to Brentwood Christian to take on the Bears in a TAPPS 5A District 4 game.

The Lady Crusaders jumped out to an early lead and defeated the Lady Bears 57-42 to improve to 3-0 in district and 17-11 overall. 

The Crusaders went into the half with a 5 point lead over the Bears. The Crusaders ended the third quarter with a 11-3 and cruised to a 67-52 victory to improved their district record to 2-1 and 15-12 overall.

The Lady Crusaders and Crusaders are both in action this Friday, January 31, as they host district rival Regents at the Carter Athletic Center. The Lady Crusaders tip off at 6:30 p.m. with the Crusaders playing after at 8 p.m. Please come out and support the SMCA Basketball Teams.
