Athletic Signing Celebration February 5 (By Jeff Dicus, Athletic Director & Head Football Coach)

We are so excited to celebrate another round of athletes signing college scholarships and committing to playing at the collegiate level. The SMCA Athletic Department invites you to join us next Wednesday, February 5, in the Gloria Delgado Theatre at 12:15 p.m. as we celebrate the athletic signings of Jack Hagy (Football) and Kathryn Morton (Volleyball).

Jack Hagy, a two-year letterman for the SMCA Football team will be signing a National Letter of Intent to continue his football career to the University of South Dakota. Jack earned TAPPS Division II District 3 Second Team All District Honors this year for Defensive Lineman and earned TAPPS Division II District 3 Honorable Mention All District Honors the past two seasons for Offensive Tight End.

Kathryn Morton will be signing her commitment to play college volleyball at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. Kathryn was a member of the SMCA Volleyball team that won the TAPPS 5A State Volleyball Championship in 2016 and the 2018 TAPPS 5A Volleyball State Runner-Up team. Kathryn was first team all district and first team all state this season.

Please join us as we celebrate these two student athletes on their commitment to continue their athletic careers.
