Crusaderettes Win Grand Championship in Classic Division (By Kevin Steen, Associate Athletic Director and Head Trainer)

On Saturday, February 22, the St. Michael's Crusaderettes Dance team competed in the 'Crowd Pleasers' dance competition at Hendrickson High School in Pflugerville. The team performed two solos and three different routines over the course of the day. Placing first in all three, scoring above a 90 on each set, they walked away with a clean sweep of winnings to become Crowd Pleasers 2020 Grand Champion Classic Division team for the second year in a row, with the following distinctions:
  • Best in Class for Hip Hop
  • Best in Class for Kick
  • Best in Class for Jazz
Meredith Henson and Jennifer Fang also won medals for Superior Solos. The Crusaderettes scored the highest out of the all the teams in the Classic Division.
Dancers are Meredith Henson '20, Isa Martinez '21, Abby Barber '22, Jennifer Fang '22, Mary Claire Fuselier '22, Gracen Gamboa '22, Becca Grace Karakourtis '23, Marisa McBurney '23, and Kiana Viniegra '23.
