With great ingenuity and lots of planning, faculty kept students engaged throughout the semester. Students collaborated on songwriting and played music together in Modern Band Lab. Two news outlets, KXAN and Associated Press, featured their impressive work. Todd Council, Biology Instructor, took students on a virtual fossil expedition along the Walnut Creek formation. In Theatre class, students wrote and shared readings of their screenplays. The list goes on.
From creating art in Spanish class to working out online with a pro trainer in basketball, teaching and learning became a shared experience. Academic and college counselors found ways to celebrate seniors in a virtual Decision Day and drive-through cap and gown pickup. The student-run Sader View vlog productions stayed on schedule with some creative reporting. From a virtual Baccalaureate Mass to cheerleading tryouts and remote robotics, faculty and students enjoyed an engrossing educational experience.
