St. Michael's Receives Bottled Water Delivery for Community (By Laura Duggan, Director of Marketing & Communications)
As reported in last week's newsletter, St. Michael's current and alumni parent John Esparza, Texas Trucking Association (TXTA) President and CEO and Southwest Movers Association (SMA) Executive Director, was able to help coordinate the reach of his affiliate organizations from neighboring states to supply hospital systems in Austin, Houston and Waco with critical water supplies during the recent winter storms. This effort, Water4Austin, was a major nationwide undertaking, involving a relief network that connects companies with communities impacted by disaster.
The St. Michael's community is now also a beneficiary of this effort courtesy of the Texas Trucking Association in partnership with the America Trucking Association. . Should you or someone you know be in need of water, please come by and help yourself to a case from a supply in the vestibule of the Carter Athletic Center.
