Best Buddies International Central Texas Friendship Walk Volunteer Opportunity (By Rae Harrison, Registrar & Service-Learning Coordinator)

Best Buddies International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement creating opportunities for one-on-one friendships, integrating employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Programs are dedicated to ending the social, physical and economic isolation of millions of people with disabilities by empowering them to form meaningful friendships with peers, secure successful jobs, live independently, and feel valued by society.

Best Buddies is hosting the  Central Texas Friendship Walk at Westlake High School on May 7th  to raise awareness and funds for Best Buddies. Best Buddies is searching for awesome volunteers to help check-in walkers and provide general support for the event.
