Cancelled: Late Start

We incorporate into our calendar four late starts over the course of the year. The school day will begin for students at 10:00 am on September 25, December 4, February 19, and April 15. These late starts will serve a variety of purposes, not the least of which is giving our students an occasional opportunity to sleep in and get some extra rest, if they so choose. For faculty and staff, these late starts afford  opportunity to engage in a variety of professional development work and ongoing overall programmatic advancement. Time to work together as a learning community is too often in short supply. Hence, we decided to build in these time blocks so that we can collectively nurture our program and ultimately support student learning even more effectively.
