Juan I Creixell '90

Juan I. Creixell ’90 has served on the St. Michael’s Alumni Board since it began six years ago. He attended The University of Texas at Austin, where he earned his BBA in Finance, then later received his MBA from The University of Wisconsin, Madison. Early in his career, Juan worked in investment banking in Mexico City and New York. He then  returned to Texas and was Head of Investment and Advice for Central and South Texas at the JPMorgan Private Bank. Today he is a partner in Custos Family Office, where he helps families with their financial lives across Central Texas.
 
Juan and his wife, Mariana, have returned to St. Michael’s, where their daughter Isa is now a freshman. Daughters Ana and Sofia are St. Gabriel’s Sabers.
 
Juan advises students to “Study hard because your teachers genuinely care that you learn. Get to know all of your classmates, there are some wonderful people who are part of who you will become, and you will run into them over and over. Enjoy your time at St. Michael's, life gets more complicated.”
 
He also says, “All the fun I had with my friends and the athletic teams I participated in, instilled in me discipline, gave me the joy of learning, reaffirmed my Catholic values and taught me critical skills on how to interact with others.”
 
 With a freshman daughter, Juan reminds all alumni, “Get involved, you never know, your own kids may go here someday. Go Crusaders!”

After working for almost a decade in New York at various investment banks, Juan returned home Texas where he is Executive Director at JPMorgan and lead the Central Texas Private Bank office overseeing $3.5 billion of assets.
  
Mr. Creixell also serves on the finance committee for the Diocese of Austin Foundation in addition to his role as the President of St Michael’s Alumni Association’s Governing Board. In 2015, St. Michael’s honored Juan’s commitment to our school and his community by making him Alumnus of the Year. Juan lives in Austin with his wife, Mariana and their three daughters Isabel, Ana, and Sofia who all attend St. Gabriel’s Catholic School. In his spare time, Juan enjoys running, tennis, golf and skiing.
