    Tuition Planning 2019-2020

    December 5, 2018

    Dear St. Michael’s Families,

    We are deeply grateful to you for choosing St. Michael’s for your children. They are our highest priority.

    We recognize that your investment in your child’s education significantly influences your family’s financial planning. After much analysis and consideration, the 2019-2020 tuition and preliminary budget have been set. The budget reflects our ongoing commitment to providing a college-preparatory program, distinctive in its offerings, rooted in Catholic tradition and efficient in its use of resources.

    The Board of Trustees has set tuition for the 2019-2020 school year at $22,100, which translates to a monthly expense increase of $83, based on a 12-month calculation. As noted in our communication regarding auto-reenrollment, the registration fee continues to be a flat $500, rather than the 10% of total tuition billed in previous years. Additionally, over the course of the last few years, we have rolled most fees and other charges into the tuition amount. Regarding the reenrollment process, we will send reminders within the next several days.

    This added investment in St. Michael’s next year will help us to achieve several of our strategic goals, such as:
    1. increasing the average compensation of faculty members in order to enhance our ability to attract and retain faculty of the highest caliber;
    2. further developing our overall program;
    3. augmenting faculty professional development funding;
    4. improving facilities.
    The modest tuition increase, coupled with increased efficiencies, will allow us to make considerable progress in meeting these goals.

    On behalf of the faculty, staff and trustees of St. Michael’s Catholic Academy, we thank you for allowing us to partner with you in the education and spiritual formation of your children. We strive every day to encounter Christ, radiate joy, aspire for better, collaborate with one another, respect the family, and always act with integrity. We thank you for all your efforts in fueling the spirit of this great school community. We are honored to be a part of the lives of you and your family.

    Sincerely yours,
