David N. Reyes is a director, producer, photographer and editor, who along with his partner Lisa Reyes, owns and operates X Horn Productions since 1999. The name of the company comes from David's alma mater, The University of Texas at Austin.
In 2016, they completed their first narrative film, "Trippin’ to the Altar," a dramatic comedy that follows a couple from engagement to 'I do.' The film featured an all Central Texas cast and was filmed entirely in Austin with local cast and crew. Trippin’ premiered in Ft. Worth, held a hometown screening in Austin, and continued its award -winning run on the festival circuit through summer 2017. Afterward it was picked up for distribution from Freakish Films. I
In 2017, Reyes wrote and directed his second feature "My Ranger." The coming of age comedy had its world premiere in Austin and went on to 10 other festivals, winning awards for Best Texas Feature, Best Comedy Feature and Best of Fest. Reyes recently started production on feature number three, a sequel to "My Ranger," titled "Empty Nester's Handbook."
