Medication Awareness (By Neilia Bliss, R.N., School Nurse)
Please note that students are not permitted to carry prescription medication on campus. If your student needs to take prescription medication during the school day, please contact the nurse, Neilia Bliss, RN at nbliss@smca.com.
All prescription medication must be locked and stored in the nurse’s office. (The only exceptions to this are medications for asthma, anaphylaxis or diabetes.)
Your student may carry over the counter medication, such as Advil, with them with permission from a parent or guardian.
Please pay attention to this policy. If needed, please revisit the signed Medication Policy in your student’s Magnus Health File.
