"Peas in a Pod" Improv and Sketch Comedy (By Ivan Klousia, Director of Theatre)

Students in Improvisation and Sketch Comedy class are in the comedy sketch writing phase of the course. Currently, the students have written drafts of their "Peas in a Pod" sketch and are pitching them to the class for possible development and performance.
"Peas in a Pod" is a general category in which there are two (or more) characters who share a point of view that's in contrast to the other characters'. Pictured L-R, Olivia. is a teacher trying to get her students to write a serious academic essay. Bryan’s character has decided to write about the value of diversity, while Jackson and Peter’s characters are only interested in writing about Pokémon.

In addition to this type of sketch, students have written an interview show sketch and a game show sketch. They will prepare and perform their work as their final project at the end of the semester.
