NHS Students Volunteer at Lady Bird Lake (By Sasha Spear, College and Academic Counselor)

Last Saturday morning, 35 NHS students volunteered their time to work with The Trail Foundation to help nurture and beautify part of the trail by Lady Bird Lake in downtown Austin. Students spread and raked compost on Lamar Beach, scattered wildflower seeds, and painted signs informing the public of the newly growing wildflowers. The students made quick work of this large project on a beautiful and sunny Austin day!
