Theatre Students Pen Original Plays (By Ivan Klousia, Director of Theatre)

Students were tasked to write a short 15-20 minute play with a set number of characters. Students could write about any topic and in any theatrical style. After the initial writing process, Theatre II and Varsity Theatre students are reading their original scripts in class. Like all the unique students in the class, the plays are varied and creative.

The ideas range from a thoughtful play where a group of teens come up with their own religion, to a children's play set in a magical land, to a post-apocalyptic play with a lurking danger, to a comedic mystery in a museum, to an epic fantasy with elves and dragons, and much much more! As the students wrap up reading all the plays, they will choose a play on which to focus further and hopefully present a virtual staged reading. More details to follow!
