Junior Economic Club Austin Outreach (By Shannon Hudson, Director of College Counseling & Academic Services),

This is a new opportunity for students interested in finance to join an organization of their peers.

My name is Dylan Woollard, and I am the President and Founder of a newly-established organization in Austin called the Junior Economic Club (JEC). This student-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization connects a diverse set of the brightest high school students across the city with business professionals.
Our goal is to educate excited students about economics, finance, and business while promoting financial literacy and establishing a supportive network of alumni and business professionals. An information flyer is availlable from this link

JEC, initially established in 2014, started in Chicago but has branched out to four countries, eleven cities, and five timezones. For the past six years, JEC has empowered these students through entrepreneurship, leadership, relationship-building, and volunteering!

This school year, we are looking to bring the Junior Economic Club to Austin! Right now, we do not have much to show in terms of events and partnerships. However, as one of the fastest-growing JEC branches, and with you and St. Michael's help, we can start connecting, educating, and empowering students across the Greater Austin area. I encourage you to browse through JEC's various offices and see what some of our sister branches have accomplished. Please look through our website and get a feel for JEC will be like here in Austin.
