Winter Formal Dance is Postponed (By Ellie Greff ‘21, Executive Student Council President)
Dear St. Michael's Community,
As both a member of the student body and leader in the Executive Student council, I strive to keep student life thriving and the excitement around campus humming. However, in light of the continued rise in local Covid-19 cases, and after discussions with my peers, we believe it best, safest and most prudent to reevaluate our current plans revolving around next weekend’s Winter Formal.
While we were all excited to come together as a community for our first dance since last February, we understand the realities facing our local and expanding community, and have decided to postpone until we feel it safe and moreover, responsible, to hold such an event. When the time is right, we will no doubt gather again as a community on a Saturday night and know that this event will be extremely special for all - especially our freshmen looking for the first glimpse of high school dances and my fellow seniors gathering for our last few moments before heading off to college.
