EDIFY Speaker Dr. Neff Parent Session Tonight (By Caroline Anderson, Marketing & Communications Coordinator)

On Thursday, April 22, 2021, we welcome Dr. Kristin Neff to our EDIFY Speaker Series.
 
Dr. Kristin Neff is a pioneer in the field of self-compassion and psychological research and author of the book Self-Compassion: The Proven Power of Being Kind to Yourself. In conjunction with her colleague Dr. Chris Germer, she developed an empirically supported training program called Mindful Self-Compassion, which is taught by thousands of teachers worldwide. She is also the co-founder and board president of the nonprofit Center for Mindful Self-Compassion. Dr. Neff received her doctorate from the University of California at Berkeley, studying moral development, and is currently an Associate Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin.
 
During her visit, she will host an evening Zoom for all parents centered on self-compassion starting at 7:30 p.m. The Zoom link and session detail are listed below.
