Get ready for the 31st annual ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot, benefitting Caritas of Austin! The annual event has become one of Austin’s beloved Thanksgiving traditions, with over $4.4 million raised for Caritas of Austin in three decades of the event. All of the funds raised go directly toward our work to end homelessness and provide people with the tools and opportunities to succeed. The run takes place on Thanksgiving Day each year, and there are plenty of ways you can get involved. 

Not certain you want to trot? This year’s event is back in person and 350 volunteers are needed to make the Turkey Trot a success! 
  • Packet pickup at First Texas Honda the week of Thanksgiving
  • Event morning registration
  • Water stop helper
  • Stepping Stone Schools Kids’ K assistance
  • Finish line help. 
Your volunteer support helps make the ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot possible! There are a variety of shifts available throughout the month of November. You can sign up as an individual or group. Together we can end homelessness and make Austin more vibrant for all!
