Livestrong 5k & 10k - SERVICE OPPORTUNITY
After years on hiatus due to the pandemic, events are back at Livestrong! The Livestrong 5K
and 10K will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at Auditorium Shores. The historic
Livestrong Challenge takes place on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at the Palmer Events Center
in Downtown Austin.
Volunteers make these events possible! Thank you for your time and willingness to serve as
part of the Livestrong Team. Without you, it would not be possible to improve the lives of
people affected by cancer. Whether you are interested in cheering on participants as they
cross the finish line, supporting runners or cyclists as they pass through a water stop or
rewarding our participants with a celebratory meal during the post-event party, there is a
volunteer position for you! Proceeds from our events benefit the revolutionary Livestrong
Cancer Institute of the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin. The Livestrong
Cancer Institute has a simple, yet powerful mission: to reinvent the way cancer patients and
survivors are cared for and supported.
