Constantine's Winter Term Internship: NASA
I am assisting in the development of NASA's MED-2 (miniature exercise device), which is used for exercise and for physiological experiments in space. We are testing the system in ARGOS, a microgravity simulator.
We are testing the operation of the MED-2 in microgravity. To simulate microgravity, we used the ARGOS (Active Response Gravity Offload System), which you can see me harnessed into.
As an experienced rower with a strong background understanding of human physiology, I give feedback on the MED-2 and teach the engineers how to most effectively use the system, which they pass on to astronauts aboard the ISS (International Space Station).
