Byzantine Catholic Services at St. Michael's (By Dr. Joshua Coleman)

Every Sunday at 5 p.m., there will be a Byzantine Catholic service at St. Michael's Catholic Academy. The Byzantine Church performs the Liturgical Rite of St. John Chrysostom (used widely in the Eastern Orthodox world). As Byzantine Catholics, all Roman Catholics may fully participate in receiving communion, as the mission is in full communion with Rome.

Every other week we will have a priest from St. John Chrysostom's in Houston, and every week without a priest our local Deacon Jeff will lead a prayer service, but also dispense blessed communion.

In reference to Vatican II, please come and see the Church breathe with both lungs, East and West!
