Women's Tennis Team Captures State Title for Third Consecutive Year

For the third year in a row, the Women’s Tennis team has captured the TAPPS State Championship! The win on April 13 represents the team’s third consecutive State Championship under Head Coach Lisa Diedrich and the second under Assistant Coach Patrick Brown. The Women’s Doubles team of Brennan Foreman and Hannah Harrod showed no mercy as they dominated the 5A Doubles bracket, defeating All Saints Episcopal of Tyler in the finals. Foreman and Harrod won their third consecutive championship as doubles partners!
Daniela Alvarez, who will play collegiate tennis next year at Wesleyan University, finished 3rd in the 5A Singles bracket. Christy Schrader and Rachel Thweatt advanced to the quarter finals in the Doubles bracket. The girls overall received 19 ½ points, edging out the State runner-up Regents Knights by 5 points.
