Swim Team Competes in Division II Central Texas Regional

On January 24, the St. Michael's Men's and Women's Swim Teams competed in the TAPPS Division II Central Texas Regional Swim Meet at Josh Davis Natatorium in San Antonio, Texas. 

For the Crusaders, Junior Joshua Bannon finished first in the 200 IM with a time of 1.59,88 and finished second in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1.01,42 behind fellow teammate Senior Ted Beiter who finished first with a time of 1.00,34. Ted finished third in the 100 Freestyle with a time of 49.95. Joshua and Ted advance to the State meet in their respective individual meets and look to set TAPPS records there.

Junior Jacob Pratt finished sixth in the 200 Freestyle at 2.18.17 qualifying for State. The Crusaders also qualified for State in two relays. The 200 medley relay finished fourth with a time of 1:58,18 (Michael Cotton, Ted Beiter, Joshua Bannon, Jacob Pratt) and the Men's 400 Freestyle relay finished second with a time of 3:51, 64 (Jacob Pratt, Austin Obermeyer, Joshua Bannon, Ted Beiter).

For the Lady Crusaders, Madison McKenzie finished seventh and qualified for State in the 100 Breastroke with a time of 1.31,61. 

Congratulations to all the swimmers who qualified to go to the TAPPS Division II State Championship in Mansfield, Texas on February 8.
