Varsity Theater Students Compete at Top Levels

Congratulations to Varsity Theatre students Ellery Pierce and Olivia Sigel who competed at the National Speech & Debate Association's (NSDA) Heart of Texas District Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 24. Ellery and Olivia placed 2nd in Duo Interpretation and, in doing so, qualified to compete at the NSDA National tournament in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in June. St. Michael's' competed against several other local schools in this district including, Bowie, Lake Travis, Westlake and Anderson High Schools.
 
The Varsity Theater students are also currently preparing to compete at the State TFA (Texas Forensic Association) tournament to be held at La Vernia High School March 1-3, as well as working on their partner school production of the musical Honk Jr. which is to be performed on March 28.
