Spring Football & Summer Update (By Coach Ben Ortiz)

Spring football came to an end last Thursday. Collectively, we made a lot of progress. Your student-athletes have worked hard all spring at improving our team and progressing our program. I know we have many expectations for our student-athletes, but there are many rewards and benefits to expectation and accountability.

Football is truly a commitment. Many colleges have visited this spring getting a chance to see our beautiful facilities and your wonderful young men. Everyone from Penn State to Dordt college have been our way (for more of a list, check our Facebook page). Even our alumni have stopped by to share words with their younger brothers in the program about what it means to be part of a team with a common goal. Our Head of School (Dr. Nichols) and Athletic Director (Mrs. Cunningham) have also been at practice to show their support of these student/ athletes and how much they mean to our school community. We have an amazing staff of coaches that have risen to the occasion all spring and are dedicated to the overall betterment of your sons and this program. I am grateful and honored to have such an amazing staff and school community to serve. Now let me give you some information about this summer.
