Crusaders Fall to Davenport (By Head Coach, Jeff Dicus)
Crusader Football lost to Davenport High School on Friday, September 3 by a score of 34-24.
Quarterback Carson Cruver '23 went 11/22 with 135 yards and 1 touchdown. Joe Moreland '23 recorded 4 catches for 53 yards while Zander Romero '23 recorded 5 catches for 60 yards and a touchdown. Runningbacks Marc Pantoja '23 and Nash Baines '23 each recorded a touchdown on the ground.
Defensively, Jah Griffin '23 recorded 10 total tackles with 5 tackles for losses and a sack. Lincoln Obermeyer '22 had 7 tackles and a sack in the game. For special teams, Joe Moreland '23 contributed a fumble recovery for a score on a botched extra point and Miller Bohnsack '25 blocked a punt.

The Crusaders move to 1-1 on the season and prepare to play San Antonio Southside on Friday, September 10 at Crusader Stadium starting at 7:30 p.m.
