Baseball Team Volunteers Go to Bat for Special Olympics

On Saturday, February 4, the Baseball team volunteered at Westgate Lanes for the Special Olympics Bowling Competition. The baseball players served as lane assistants - assisting the athletes competing on a lane, being part manager (making sure the participants bowl in the correct order and making sure they stay on schedule by keeping the momentum going) and part cheerleader.

Luke Andrews said, “While volunteering at Special Olympics, I had many positive experiences helping others, and have made many friendships with the athletes. My guys were super smart and skilled!” There were lots of smiles, cheering and high fives shared with the participants. Great job giving back to the community!
