Women's Basketball Captures District Title
On Friday, February 2, the Women's Basketball team defeated St. Dominic Savio 56-32. The Lady Crusaders jumped out to a 33-15 lead against the the Lady Eagles and then coasted to the 24 point victory. Anna Batchik led the team with 24 points while Gabi Pulsifer had 11 points.
On Tuesday, Febriuary 6, it was Senior Night for the Lady Crusaders against district rival Regents. Before the game, St. Michael's Community honored our four seniors, Anna Batchik, Faith Brasher, Gabi Pulsifer, and Tara Senn. Anna Batchik led the Lady Crusaders with 30 points as the Lady Crusaders defeated Regents 56-30.
With Tuesday night's victory, the Lady Crusaders captured the TAPPS 5A District 4 Championship with one game remaining in the regular season. With the District championship, the Lady Crusaders also earned a first round bye in the TAPPS 5A Basketball Playoffs and will host the second round game on Tuesday, February 20, at the Carter Athletic Center.
