AP Exam Registration Ends Tomorrow, Friday, March 9

Students in AP courses (or Honors World History) have the opportunity to take an AP exam in May. The AP exam is optional, but may allow for college credit if the student receives a 3 or higher (score requirement is college-dependent).

  • We encourage students to speak with their teachers about whether or not the exam would be worthwhile.
  • Senior students should also confirm that the college they plan to attend accepts AP credit.
  • Please also note that most 9th graders will not be taking an AP exam.
  • Students planning to take the AP Exams in May must register online by March 9 on the following link: https://smca.myschoolapp.com/podium/default.aspx?t=36644&rid=21623 (if the link does not work, copy and paste into your browser)
  • AP exams cost $94 each this year. If you currently receive a fee waiver for the SAT/ACT, please contact me at shudson@smca.com to discuss a fee waiver for the AP Exams.
All students must take a final exam even if they take the AP Exam for the subject. Only SENIORS with a 90 or higher and fewer than 5 absences in a class are exempt from final exams.
