Stephanie Lucie is the parent of a 2020 St. Michael’s alumna. Most recently, Stephanie served as general counsel and chief compliance officer at Austin Ventures, where she continues to handle some legal matters. She has served as senior vice president, general counsel, chief compliance officer, corporate secretary, and head of human resources, with over three decades of experience working with publicly traded and privately held companies, as well as leading law firms in New York City and Houston. Stephanie previously served on the board of directors of LifeWorks and SafePlace. She is a founder and past president of non-profit legal organizations in Houston and Austin. Stephanie is the editor of Scagel Handmade, published in 2010, and is currently writing a biography about a well-known knifemaker. At SMCA, she has served as vice chair and chair of the corporate governance committee, among other committees. She and her family hosted a student from China, as well as a student from Spain. Stephanie received her J.D. from Duke University School of Law, where she served on the Duke Law Journal, and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
